Power Supply References

I hope all the diodes and capacitors are pointing the right way.

The 12.6Volt AC transformer is from a dead boom box.

The Capacitors for the split supply are 15000 uF each. These are from a dot matrix printer. They need to be quite large because each side only gets a half wave.

The Capacitor for the 5V regulated supply is 10000 uF.

The diodes are 1 amp. They get very hot at full output.

The power supply as pictured, makes 0.48 amps on each side.

Safety: Don't forget the led and resistor ciruit. It tells you when the supply is on, and drains the capacitors to make the power supply safe shortly after it is unplugged.
